The 2nd China Water-based Adhesives Forum

November 28-29, 2019, Ningbo

In the latest Guidance Catalogue for Industrial Structure Adjustment (2019 edition) issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, the production of “modified, water-based adhesives and new hot melt adhesives” is encouraged. In September 2017, the former Ministry of Environmental Protection, the National Development and Reform Commission and others issued the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan of Work on Volatile Organic Compound Pollution Prevention and Control”, clearly requested “to strengthen the control of VOCs in adhesives industry; to fully use water-based adhesives in wood furniture manufacturing industry, the replacement ratio will reach 100% by the end of 2020; In the field of plastic flexible packaging, the application of solvent-free, water-based adhesive and other environmentally friendly composite technology will be promoted. By the end of 2019, the replacement ratio will not be less than 60%”.

In response to the government’s call, in order to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation among production enterprises, and promote technological progress of water-based adhesives and sustainable, healthy, stable development of the whole industry, China Adhesives and Tape Industry Association worked together with Ningbo Adhesives and Products Industry Association and jointly decided that the 2nd China Water-based Adhesives Forum will be held in Ningbo, Zhejiang from November 27 to 29, 2019. The theme of this forum is “Innovative Technology and Market Prospects of Water-based Adhesives”, and we welcome all companies concerned to attend the forum

I. Main Contents

1. Updated Report of Water-based Adhesive Market in China

We will invite typical enterprises to introduce the latest market development status of various types of water-based adhesives. Industrial policy and development trend of water-based adhesives will be interpreted, and the problems faced by the development of water-based adhesives will be discussed as well, in order to support and help the companies on the market expansion and bottleneck breakthrough problems.

2. Updated Report of Product Technology and Information

We will invite domestic and foreign water-based adhesives technical experts to make relevant thematic reports, introduce the latest technological development direction and the latest product trends, which include:

1)    New technology and industry bottleneck analysis of water-based adhesives,

2)    Advancing raw materials and additives of water-based adhesives,

3)    The application of water-based adhesives in automotive and packaging fields,

4)    Application of water-based adhesives in shoes-making and furniture.

II. Theme of the Forum

The theme of this Forum: Innovative Technology and Market Prospects of Water-based Adhesives. This forum is organized by China Adhesives and Tape Industry Association, Ningbo Adhesives and Products Industry Association, and the Polymer Emulsion Adhesive Committee will assist in hosting the forum as well. Covestro Polymers (China) Co., Ltd., Wacker Chemicals (China) Co., Ltd., and Shanghai M. Land Chemical Co., Ltd. will provide various types of sponsorship, assistance and cooperation for the forum.

III. Date and Venue

1. Registration: 9:00 to 22:00 on November 27, 2019.

2. Venue: New Century Grand Hotel Ningbo, No. 666 Shounan Middle Road, Yinzhou District, Ningbo 315192, China, hotel phone: 0574-83078888. The hotel is about 9 km away from Ningbo High Speed Railway Station and 11 km away from Ningbo Lishe International Airport.

3. Forum: 28-29 November, 2019 (2 days in total).

4. Water-based Adhesives and Raw Materials Expo: November 28-29, 2019 (2 days in total).

IV. Fees

1. Accommodations (Self-paid): New Century Grand Hotel Ningbo, RMB 520 for single room or twin room per night (breakfast included). At the request of the hotel, in order to ensure the housing needs of the delegates, the association will collect the accommodation fees uniformly. The deadline for booking and paying is November 8, 2019. The delegates who have not paid the room fees after November 8, 2019 will no longer enjoy the group accommodation price.

2. Forum registration: (The registration fee includes: admission to all sessions during the forum, all scheduled meals, coffee breaks and exhibition visit).

Members: RMB 2500 per person; Non-members: RMB 3000 per person

(Three or more participants of non–member company can be entitled to the member price.)

3. Publicity of enterprises and products:

⑴Products promotion: RMB 8,000/30 min. (Inclusive of the speaker’s registration fee).

⑵Proceedings Advertising: RMB 2000/page.

⑶Water-based Adhesives and Raw Materials Expo: RMB 3,000/booth, about 6 sqm for each booth (equipped with 1 desk and 2 chairs, no fascia board).

⑷Polymer Emulsion Adhesive Committee members participating the forum could enjoy free charge of 1 participant’s registration fee, 1 free expo booth and 1 free advertising insert page in the proceedings, but the accommodation fees, transportation costs are not included.

V. Proceedings of Forum

Proceedings of the 2nd China Water-based Adhesives Forum will be published. Welcome papers from experts and companies concerned (Please contact conference organizing committee for details).

VI. Registration could be made in advance via airmail, fax, email and short message to make sure your accommodation and relevant arrangement. We also accept on-the-spot registration but with no guaranty of accommodation.
